Loved your article, Becoming An American Citizen:

Every one of us should know about this process, even attend a swearing in, if possible. My husband and I just happened to be present for one in San Antonio a few years ago where almost 400 people became Americans. It was indeed a moving ceremony which seemed to have a lot of meaning to the immigrants. We saw not only joy, but also pride, in their eyes.

Thank you. We are a nation unfolding daily. "Give us your tired, your poor..." has always been a haunting quote for me. Proud to be the first born American in a family that is so thankful to be able to live here. My life would have been so different elsewhere.
